Clinic and Medical Chauffeur
Our clinic chauffeur service is a Geneva airport chauffeur service for patients and the relatives who accompany them, linking the airport, hotels and clinics, hospitals or wellness centres in Switzerland and nearby France. Journeys are handled calmly and confidentially, with a fixed price per vehicle shown before you pay online.

A Geneva airport chauffeur service for patients
When you travel for treatment or a check-up, the journey should demand as little energy as possible. Your chauffeur is waiting at Geneva Airport with a name sign, takes charge of every bag and drives you directly to the clinic or your hotel. Appointment times rarely move, so your flight is tracked; if it lands late, the pick-up adapts and the waiting is included. Names and destinations are treated with discretion.
Appointments, follow-ups and family visits
Beyond the arrival transfer, a chauffeur by the hour, from 2 hours, can take you to a consultation, wait during it and drive you back. Relatives accompanying a patient often book rides between their hotel, the clinic and the airport throughout the stay, and some arrange the journey home via Zurich or another airport.
Typical destinations include Geneva's private clinics and university hospital, the clinics and medical wellness centres of Lausanne, Montreux, Glion and the hills above Vevey, as well as Zurich, Bern and Lucerne. Spa towns such as Leukerbad, Divonne-les-Bains, Évian-les-Bains, Aix-les-Bains and Brides-les-Bains are also served.
Comfort and access in every vehicle
- First Class Sedan (Mercedes S-Class) for extra space and a quiet ride
- Van (Mercedes V-Class) with a sliding side door for easier access, up to 7 passengers and 10 bags
- Business Sedan (Mercedes E-Class) or Minibus (Mercedes Sprinter) as required
- Help with luggage and personal belongings from door to door
- Child seats on request when the patient is a child
Important: a chauffeur service, not medical transport
Our cars are not ambulances and our chauffeurs are not medical staff. Passengers must be able to get in and out of a standard car or van, with help from a companion if needed. If a patient requires medical supervision or a stretcher, please contact a specialised medical transport provider instead.
Booking for yourself or on behalf of a patient
Enter the pick-up point, the clinic's address, the appointment time and any practical notes, such as mobility needs or extra luggage. The fixed price per vehicle appears before payment, made through a secure Stripe checkout by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, with e-mail confirmation straight away. Clinics, patient coordinators and family members may book for a patient and receive an invoice. We are available 24/7 on +41 78 871 71 33 and at contact@genevachauffeurcarservice.com.
Who this service is for
Patients travelling to Geneva for an appointment, a check-up or a scheduled stay often need a ride that is simple to organise and calm to take. Relatives who accompany them, hotel staff who arrange rides for their guests, and clinic coordinators who need to confirm a transfer on behalf of an international patient all tend to look for the same thing: a dependable car, a named driver at the arrival point and a route that does not depend on finding a taxi at the end of a long flight.
This page describes transport only. The chauffeur drives, handles luggage and keeps to the schedule. The chauffeur does not provide medical care, nursing, personal assistance or any clinical service, and the journey is not a substitute for advice from a doctor or a care team.
What the service covers and what it does not
The service covers the movement of people and their luggage between points that you define: Geneva Airport, hotels, clinics, hospitals, wellness centres and private addresses in the region. Journeys can be booked as a single transfer, as a return trip or as a chauffeur by the hour, from 2 hours, for a day with several appointments.
The service does not include medical decisions, bedside care, handling of medication, or physical support beyond loading and unloading luggage. If a passenger needs help walking, dressing or getting in and out of the car, that help should come from a companion or from a carer arranged separately. Being clear about this from the start means the chauffeur and the passenger share the same expectations on the day.
Arrival transfers from Geneva Airport
An arrival transfer begins with the flight details. Share the airline, the flight number and the date when you book, so that the inbound flight is tracked and the pick-up follows the real landing time. A chauffeur waits at arrivals with a name sign, which is helpful after a long journey when it is easier not to search through a crowd. Luggage is loaded, and the car drives calmly to the hotel or clinic.
Patients who are tired after a flight often prefer a quiet car and a steady pace. The route is planned to avoid unnecessary stops, and the chauffeur keeps the cabin as calm as possible. If the flight is delayed, the waiting time after landing is included, so the arrival is not rushed.
Arrival after a long flight can be tiring even for people who travel often. Please tell us whether the passenger would like a short pause for water or a restroom before the drive begins, and whether the luggage includes items that must stay upright or travel in the cabin. The chauffeur can adjust the timing of the first leg, and the schedule is built with a little extra margin so that the car never has to rush.
If the flight arrives at a time when the clinic is closed, for example late in the evening, plan the transfer to the hotel first and confirm the appointment time for the next morning. This keeps the arrival calm and gives the patient a clear plan for the following day.
Planning around appointment times
Appointment times can change, and a transfer should allow for that. Start from the time of the appointment, allow a margin for arrival at the building, check-in and any waiting in the reception area, and then add the drive. For a patient travelling from the airport, add the flight landing and the luggage collection to the schedule as well. A realistic plan keeps the arrival relaxed, which is especially important on a day with a demanding timetable.
- Share the appointment time and the exact address of the clinic, including the entrance to use.
- Tell us the time you expect to leave the clinic, if it is known, or describe the likely length of the appointment.
- Confirm whether the return journey is needed the same day or later, so the booking reflects the real plan.
- Allow extra time if the route passes through the city centre at a busy hour.
Good planning also means knowing who decides on the day. Some clinics ask the patient to confirm the appointment the evening before, while others send the time only by letter. Whatever the process, share the confirmed time with us as soon as it is known, so that the pick-up is aligned with the actual appointment rather than an earlier estimate.
Where an appointment moves to another building on the same campus or to a different site, describe the new address and entrance before the journey. A short note from the coordinator is often enough, and it prevents the car from stopping at the wrong entrance while the patient waits inside.
Booking for a patient through a clinic or coordinator
Clinics, coordinators and private agencies sometimes book transfers on behalf of a patient who is not yet in Geneva. The booking is made online or by contacting us directly, and it should include the patient's name as it appears on the passport, the arrival or departure details, the destination address and the number of passengers and bags. Pick-up and drop-off points can be a hotel, a private address or a clinic entrance.
When a coordinator makes the booking, please also indicate who will be the contact on the day and how they can be reached. A clear contact avoids repeated calls and helps the chauffeur confirm the meeting point without delay. Confirmation is sent instantly by e-mail, and it can be forwarded to the patient or to the relatives who will travel.
Relatives and companions
Relatives who accompany a patient often need their own rides between the hotel, the clinic and the airport. A companion can book a separate transfer for their own movements, or the group can travel together in a Mercedes V-Class, which seats seven passengers with ten bags. Keeping the family in one car can simplify the day, and it means nobody needs to coordinate several taxis when the appointment ends.
Companions should mention any special needs of the patient in the booking, such as a reclining position or the need for extra space for a walking frame or a folded wheelchair. The chauffeur can then choose a vehicle with the room required, and the family can plan the seating before leaving the hotel.
Companions may also want to sit close to the patient during the journey, and that is a practical request to make when booking. Let us know the seating you would prefer, so that the vehicle is chosen with that arrangement in mind and the companion does not have to decide where to sit at the kerb.
If a family member travels on a separate flight and arrives at a different time, plan their transfer as its own booking, but share the timing with the rest of the group so that the day stays coordinated.
Choosing a vehicle for comfort and luggage
The choice of vehicle depends on the number of people and the amount of luggage. A Mercedes E-Class carries three passengers and three bags and suits one patient with a small suitcase. A Mercedes S-Class seats three passengers with two bags and offers a more spacious feel for those who prefer a quiet, comfortable ride. A Mercedes V-Class carries seven passengers and ten bags, with sliding side doors that make getting in and out easier for many people, and a higher seating position that can be more comfortable for some passengers.
If a patient travels with a medical device or other equipment, please describe it when booking so that a vehicle with enough room can be selected. The chauffeur handles luggage and loads items as part of the transfer, but operating, adjusting or maintaining a device remains the responsibility of the patient or their carer.
Hourly service for days with several appointments
Some visits involve more than one stop: a consultation, a scan, a visit to a pharmacy or a short meeting with a family member. A chauffeur by the hour, from 2 hours, keeps the same car available through the day, and the route between the stops is planned in advance. The chauffeur waits where required and drives on to the next address, which avoids booking several separate transfers and waiting for taxis between them.
For a day with uncertain timings, describe the sequence of stops and the approximate length of each, and tell us if you need the car to be ready at a particular time. The hourly booking can then be adapted to the real progress of the day, and changes can be communicated by phone or WhatsApp.
On a day with several stops, the chauffeur keeps the car ready at each address and records only the times and places needed to plan the next movement. If a stop is a private appointment, the chauffeur waits discreetly, without any discussion of the purpose of the visit, and the car leaves once the passenger is back on board.
Let us know in advance if the sequence of stops is likely to change, because a short message keeps the rest of the day aligned without the passenger having to explain anything during the journey.
Discretion and privacy
Discretion is central to this service. Names, addresses and destinations are used only to organise the journey. The chauffeur does not share details of the trip with anyone, and the information needed for the booking is limited to what is required to make the transfer work. Passengers can speak as much or as little as they wish during the drive.
When a clinic, a coordinator or a family member books on the patient's behalf, the details are handled with the same care. Please let us know if you would like a particular name on the meeting sign or a more discreet arrangement at the pick-up point, and we will reflect that in the booking.
Clinics and destinations outside Geneva
Patients are sometimes treated in clinics or wellness centres in the wider region, such as in the canton of Vaud, around the Lake Geneva shoreline or in the nearby French Alps. The route depends on the destination, the time of day and the road conditions, and the chauffeur plans the journey accordingly. Crossing into France or Italy adds a border step, so the schedule should include a margin for that.
For longer journeys, share the exact address and the time of the appointment, and describe whether you need a single trip or a return. The chauffeur can then suggest a timing that allows for the distance without rushing the arrival.
Long trips to clinics in the wider region are easiest planned as a single outbound and a single return, with the timing set around the appointment rather than the other way round. For the crossing into France, keep the passport or identity card accessible and make sure any documentation required for entry is valid. The chauffeur drives the route, while the passenger remains responsible for personal documents.
Comparing the chauffeur with taxis, hotel cars and public transport
Public transport is economical and frequent within the city, yet it can involve stairs, crowded carriages and changes that are difficult with heavy bags or after a long flight. A taxi is convenient for a single short trip, but availability varies and the route is not always agreed in advance. A hotel car is useful when the hotel is the only stop, but it may not cover the clinic, the airport and the return on the same day.
A booked chauffeur is planned around the appointment, the flight and the luggage, with the price shown before the journey. The car arrives at the agreed point, the route is set in advance, and the passenger does not have to manage a series of changes while feeling unwell or tired.
- Public transport: economical, but can be demanding with luggage and mobility limits.
- Taxi: flexible for a single trip, less predictable for timed appointments.
- Hotel car: convenient for one fixed route, limited for multiple stops.
- Private chauffeur: scheduled, calm and dedicated to your group.
Rest and calm on the return journey
The return journey is often the moment when the patient is most tired, and it deserves the same care as the arrival. A short pause before leaving the building, a bottle of water in the bag and a clear idea of how long the drive will take all help. Tell the chauffeur if you would prefer the car to wait at the entrance or to stand a little away from the busiest area, so that the departure is not hurried.
A calm cabin is a shared goal. The chauffeur keeps the temperature comfortable, reduces unnecessary stops and drives at a steady pace, especially on winter roads or in heavy traffic. Please make sure the passenger has the belongings they need within reach, and that bags are placed where they will not shift during the drive.
If the return is later in the day than planned, or if the patient would like to rest at the hotel before the airport, describe the new plan as soon as it is known. The schedule can be adjusted, and the chauffeur confirms the change in writing so that everyone works from the same timing.
- Keep water, tissues and personal items within reach in the cabin.
- Tell us if the return needs to be later than the original plan.
- Share the airport departure time and the terminal before leaving the hotel.
Day-of checklist for the journey
A short preparation helps the day run smoothly. Keep the booking confirmation accessible on a phone and a printed copy in the bag, label the luggage with the name and a contact number, and make sure the person who will meet the car knows the meeting point. Bring water and any personal items the patient needs during the journey, and keep the phone charged in case the time or the route changes.
If the appointment ends earlier or later than planned, call or message us as soon as possible so that the chauffeur can adjust. Clear communication is the simplest way to keep the day calm for everyone involved.
Booking, payment and related services
Bookings are made online up to 12 hours ahead, with the fixed price per vehicle shown before payment. Payment is made by bank card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and an instant e-mail confirmation follows. For bookings made less than 12 hours before the journey, or for changes on the day, call or message us on WhatsApp at +41 78 871 71 33. The service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
A return trip carries a reduction of 10 % on the return leg, which is useful when the patient travels back to the airport after a stay. Child seats can be requested when booking for a younger companion. Tolls, fuel and luggage handling are included in the fixed price.
