Route and travel time

The private transfer from Geneva Airport to Les Menuires covers about 186 km and takes around 2 h 20. Your chauffeur reaches Annecy on the A41, Albertville on the A430, then Moûtiers on the N90. At Moûtiers the D117 climbs the Belleville valley: Saint-Jean-de-Belleville, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, then Les Menuires at 1,850 m, ten kilometres before Val Thorens, where the road ends.

The Belleville valley has a single road in. On high-season Saturdays the queue sometimes starts at Moûtiers itself: we take this into account and suggest an earlier or later departure when it makes sense.

The quarters of Les Menuires

Les Menuires is spread along the road between 1,800 and 2,000 m, and each quarter has its own entrance:

  • La Croisette: the original centre, the main snow front and most of the shops.
  • Les Bruyères: the resort's second hub, around the Bruyères gondola towards the Pointe de la Masse.
  • Reberty 1850 and Reberty 2000: the chalet and newer-residence quarters above Les Bruyères.
  • Preyerand, Les Fontanettes, Le Bettaix: the quieter hamlets below, linked by gondola or chairlift.

Give the quarter and the residence name when booking: from one end of the resort to the other there are several kilometres of road and many dead ends.

What the fixed price includes

The price shown before payment is for the whole vehicle, with no supplement for passengers, luggage or traffic.

  • Meet and greet in arrivals with a name board, Swiss or French sector depending on your flight.
  • Flight tracking and 60 minutes of free waiting time.
  • Skis, snowboards, boot bags and suitcases loaded by the chauffeur.
  • A direct journey, with no other passengers, to your door.
  • Tolls, fuel and VAT included; child seats on request at no extra charge.

Which vehicle for Les Menuires

Les Menuires is a resort for families and groups of friends: the Mercedes V-Class (7 passengers, 10 bags) is by far the most requested, with skis lying flat in the boot. For two or three, the E-Class or S-Class. Clubs, works councils and groups of 8 to 19 book the Sprinter on quotation; beyond that, several vehicles leave together.

The Belleville road in winter

Between Moûtiers and Les Menuires the D117 gains 1,400 metres in 27 km. The road is wide and well maintained, but it crosses shaded stretches where ice lasts all day in January. Our Mercedes are fitted with winter tyres and carry chains, as the Mountain Law requires in Savoie, and our chauffeurs know the residence accesses in Reberty, some of which have steep ramps.

The 3 Valleys from the Belleville side

Les Menuires gives direct access to the 3 Valleys, about 600 km of linked pistes between Courchevel, Méribel, Saint-Martin, Les Menuires and Val Thorens. The local area of Les Menuires and Saint-Martin has about 160 km, with the Pointe de la Masse (2,804 m) on one side and the link to Méribel over the Mont de la Chambre on the other. The season generally runs from early December to late April. The resort is known for prices more accessible than its neighbours, ski-in ski-out residences and its toboggan runs.

Child seats, pushchairs and equipment

Enter your children's ages in the form: an infant carrier, child seat or booster is fitted in advance. The V-Class takes a folded pushchair as well as skis and sledges. If you are hiring equipment in the resort, let us know; a smaller vehicle may be enough.

Your transfer step by step

  1. Online booking with flight number, quarter and residence; fixed price shown before payment.
  2. The day before, you receive the chauffeur's name and phone number.
  3. On landing the time is adjusted; the chauffeur waits in arrivals.
  4. Loading, immediate departure.
  5. About 2 h 20 later, drop-off at your residence in Les Menuires.

No change at Moûtiers

Trains stop at Moûtiers-Salins; 27 km of climbing remain by local bus, with skis on the platform and often a wait. A private transfer leaves at your flight's actual arrival time, makes no stops at other resorts in the valley and delivers every bag to the door, for a fixed price known in advance.

Return to Geneva and days in Val Thorens

Book the outbound and return together: the return gets 10% off. On a Saturday in February we advise an early start to pass Moûtiers before the peak. As a chauffeur at your disposal, your driver takes you to Val Thorens (15 minutes), to Saint-Martin-de-Belleville for dinner in the old village, or to Brides-les-Bains.

Practical tips before you leave

Allow 20 minutes to get skis out of the ski room, and keep boots in a separate bag. For an early-morning flight we leave at night if needed: the valley is empty and the journey often drops under two hours.
