Route and travel time

The private transfer from Geneva Airport to Leysin covers about 125 km and takes around 1 h 35. Your chauffeur follows the A1 then the A9 motorway along Lake Geneva to the Aigle exit, in the Vaud Chablais. From there the Leysin road climbs 15 km of hairpins through vineyards then forest, from 400 m to 1,260 m, to the village set on its balcony facing the Dents du Midi.

The journey is entirely in Switzerland and on motorway as far as the foot of the climb, which makes it very reliable in any season.

Leysin: the village, Feydey and the schools

  • Leysin-Village (1,260 m): the lower part of the village, around the station of the same name and the main street.
  • Leysin-Feydey (1,300 m): the upper part, with the terminus of the train from Aigle, the former sanatoriums turned hotels and residences, and the Berneuse gondola.
  • The international schools: Leysin is home to several boarding and international schools; we run students' term-start and holiday transfers all year, with meet and greet in arrivals and hand-over at the school.
  • Les Mosses and La Lécherette: the neighbouring villages on the Col des Mosses, twenty minutes away, for chalets and cross-country skiing.

Give the quarter and the name of the accommodation or school when booking.

The price shown before payment is for the whole vehicle, with no supplement for passengers, luggage or traffic.

The Leysin road in winter

From Aigle to Leysin the road gains 850 metres in 15 km of hairpins: well cleared, but shaded and icy in the morning through the wooded sections. Our Mercedes run on winter tyres with chains on board and our chauffeurs know the accesses to Feydey and the chalets above the village.

The Berneuse, the Kuklos and the Vaud Alps

Leysin offers about 60 km of pistes between 1,260 and 2,200 m, with the Berneuse gondola rising to the Kuklos, the revolving restaurant at the top, and the link to Les Mosses and La Lécherette. The Vaud Alps pass also covers Villars-Gryon and Les Diablerets. The resort is known for its snowpark, its summer toboggan run and winter tobogganing park, and for the sunny climate that made it a health resort in the last century. The season generally runs from mid-December to early April.

Child seats, pushchairs and equipment

Enter your children's ages when booking: an infant carrier, child seat or booster is fitted in advance. For students travelling alone, we confirm the chauffeur's name the day before and can inform the school of the arrival time. If you are hiring equipment locally, tell us; a smaller vehicle may be enough.

  1. Online booking with flight number, quarter and the accommodation or school name; fixed price shown before payment.

No change at Aigle

The little Aigle–Leysin train is picturesque but means a change at Aigle, a 40-minute climb and a walk from the station with skis or trunks. A private transfer leaves at your flight's actual arrival time, makes no stops and drops you at your door in 1 h 35, for a fixed price known in advance.

Return to Geneva and days in the Chablais

Book the outbound and return together: the return gets 10% off. As a chauffeur at your disposal, your driver takes you to Villars and Les Diablerets, to Aigle castle and its vineyards, to Montreux and Chillon castle, or to the Lavey thermal baths.

Practical tips before you leave

Allow 15 minutes to load skis and keep boots in a separate bag. For a morning flight a 5:30 am departure is possible: the motorway is clear and the journey takes barely more than an hour and a quarter.
