Route and travel time
The private transfer from Geneva Airport to Saint-Gervais-les-Bains covers about 70 km and takes around 1 h 05. Your chauffeur takes the A40 motorway towards Mont Blanc to the Le Fayet exit, then the road climbs in a few kilometres from Le Fayet (580 m) to the village of Saint-Gervais (850 m), continuing if needed to Le Bettex (1,400 m) or Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce (1,200 m).
With motorway right to the foot of the village, it is one of the simplest accesses in the Mont Blanc massif, whatever the weather.
From Le Fayet to Le Bettex: the quarters of Saint-Gervais
- Le Fayet (580 m): the lower town, with the railway station, the thermal baths and the Mont Blanc Tramway terminus.
- Saint-Gervais village (850 m): the historic town, its hotels and pedestrian centre, at the foot of the Bettex gondola.
- Le Bettex (1,400 m): the high-altitude resort at the foot of the slopes, with ski-in ski-out residences and chalets.
- Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce (1,200 m): the baroque village on the opposite slope, linked to the ski area by the La Croix gondola.
Between Le Fayet and Le Bettex there are 800 metres of climb and twenty minutes of road: give the quarter and the accommodation name when booking.

Which vehicle for Saint-Gervais
For two or three, the Mercedes E-Class or S-Class. With a family or from four passengers, the V-Class (7 passengers, 10 bags). For a shared chalet or a group of 8 to 19, the Sprinter is offered on quotation.
The Saint-Gervais road in winter
As far as the village, access is easy and well cleared. The climb to Le Bettex and the Saint-Nicolas road are genuine mountain roads, with hairpins and shaded sections that ice over. Our Mercedes run on winter tyres with chains on board, as the Mountain Law requires in Haute-Savoie, and our chauffeurs know the chalet roads of Le Bettex and Les Communailles.
Évasion Mont-Blanc, the thermal baths and the Tramway
Saint-Gervais is part of Évasion Mont-Blanc, about 445 km of pistes linked with Megève, Combloux, Les Contamines and Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce; from Le Bettex you reach Mont d'Arbois and Megève on skis. The season generally runs from mid-December to mid-April. In Le Fayet, the Saint-Gervais thermal baths are open all year and the Mont Blanc Tramway, France's highest rack railway, climbs to the Nid d'Aigle at 2,372 m in summer and to the Bellevue plateau in winter. Saint-Gervais is also the commune of the Mont Blanc summit, the start of the normal route via the Goûter.
Child seats, pushchairs and equipment
Enter your children's ages when booking: an infant carrier, child seat or booster is fitted in advance. The V-Class takes a folded pushchair and a sledge alongside the skis. If you are hiring equipment locally, tell us; a smaller vehicle may be enough.
Your transfer step by step
- Online booking with flight number, quarter and accommodation name; fixed price shown before payment.
- The day before, you receive the chauffeur's name and phone number.
- On landing the time is adjusted; the chauffeur waits in arrivals.
- Loading, immediate departure on the A40.
- About 1 h 05 later, drop-off at your door in Le Fayet, the village, Le Bettex or Saint-Nicolas.
No change at Le Fayet
Saint-Gervais-Le Fayet station is well served, but it sits 300 metres below the village and 800 metres below Le Bettex: a bus or local cab with your skis is still needed. A private transfer leaves at your flight's actual arrival time, makes no stops and drops you at your door in 1 h 05, for a fixed price known in advance.
Return to Geneva and days around Mont Blanc
Book the outbound and return together: the return gets 10% off. As a chauffeur at your disposal, your driver takes you to Megève in twenty minutes, Chamonix in thirty, Les Contamines-Montjoie, or to the shore of Lake Annecy for a non-ski day.
Practical tips before you leave
Allow 15 minutes to load skis, more at Le Bettex on Saturdays. Keep ski boots in a separate bag. For an early-morning flight a 5 am departure is possible: the A40 is empty and the journey takes barely an hour.
